The connected practice · Workflow guide
From booking
to payment.
One connected record, with a clear handoff at every step. Here’s how scheduling, clinical work and billing come together in Eggmed.
01 / Book & prepare
A clear start for the client.
Clients can book through your public booking page without creating an account. Availability connects to the practice calendar, while assigned forms, consent and reminders help everyone arrive prepared.
Explore client engagement ↗Scheduling, forms and reminders stay connected.
02 / Care & document
The encounter is the centre of the record.
The appointment becomes an encounter. Record the session, work from your own templates and review the AI-assisted draft where used. Assessments and treatment plans stay with the client record.
Explore clinical tools ↗You review every draft before signing.
03 / Review & sign
One deliberate handoff.
Review the documentation and encounter details before signing. A signed note is locked; later amendments preserve the original. Where supervision applies, the required review and signatures remain part of the workflow.
See the EHR workflow ↗Signing connects the clinical record to charges.
04 / Prepare billing
Two paths from the same record.
Charges follow the signed encounter. Self-pay work moves to invoices and payments. Insurance work moves to a claim draft for review and submission, followed by the payer response. Generation timing follows the practice’s billing settings.
Explore insurance billing ↗A claim draft is reviewed before submission.
05 / Post & follow up
Know what still needs attention.
Payments and remittances are recorded against the work. Review balances, exceptions and the remaining patient or payer responsibility. Payer posting and patient collection are separate steps, controlled by your practice’s configuration.
See payment workflows ↗Payment recorded. Remaining balances visible.
